Cool Things to Do from Home

Because you can only binge-watch so much...

It looks like we're gonna be stuck inside for a WHILE. Might as well make things lively, no? Here are some cool things to do while we're trapped at home:

  1. Learn the Choreography to Hayley William's new track, "Cinnamon," - Maybe you always wanted mad dance skillz! You've got plenty of time to work on it now. Plus, imagine how rad it would be if everyone in the crowd ended up flash mobbing this routine at the next concert? Hayley's coreographer Tovaris Wilson breaks the routine down for you on youtube.

  2. Go to an Exclusive Club - LA's Cloak & Dagger is usually a wear-all-black member's only kinda of place, but tonight (Tuesday) you can stream it live, hosted by She Wants Revenge's Adam Bravin (Cloak & Dagger's resident DJ). Heads up though, this one is for night owls. It kicks off at 10pm Pacific, so that means 1am our time.

Let’s do this.... @xcloakanddaggerx sets every Tuesday night at 10pm AFEX old school hip hop, r&b and classics every Thursday night at 10pm and @giorgiosdisco sets every Saturday night at 10pm All Prince Brunch Sundays@at 1pm Link in my bio!

  3. Visit MOMA - The Museum of Modern Art, like most things, is closed. But you can still visit.  They have gallery of many of their collections online. While it's totally not the same thing, it's better than nothing.

  4. De-stress - Staying at home and social-distancing can take it's toll. We're all going through a lot of change and the isolation doesn't help. Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams wants to help you manage your anxiety with some guided meditation.

  5. Get into Yoga - Another way to help manage stress and anxiety while also getting in a workout is Yoga. DoYogaWithMe is offerring two FREE months of access to their site to people stuck inside because of Coronavirus.

  6. Go to a Rave -  Brooklyn venue Nowadays had to close, but they've created a whole virtual schedule. Along with The Lot Radio, you can live stream D.J. sets while chatting every night this week starting at 8. Here is the full schedule.

  7. Get Cultured and Go to the Opera - The Metropolitan Opera is live streaming a different opera every night at 7:30. You can watch them for free at MetOpera.Org. If you can't make it at 7:30, each opera will stay up for 20 hours.

There's a ton more out there if you dig around. Get to google and get creative! I'll try to keep posting more here. In the meantime, stay safe and stay well <3
