Primitive Radio Gods. In 2020, there's a joke in there somewhere, but in 1996, these guys were all over alternative radio and MTV with their debut single "Standing Outside a Broken Phone Booth with Money in my Hand." And you thought Kenny Hoopla had long titles...The song almost singlehandedly shot "Rocket", their debut album, past 500,000 copies sold. Nowadays, the phone booth sounds just as useless as the trivia I just spout off, but the song remains handy for throwback thursdays like this one. Enjoy.
