An Alternative Classic You Didn't Know Existed Until Now

What is Alternative music? I mean, really, at the end of the day is it just a soundtrack to car commercials during the football game on Sunday? Is it torn jeans and flannel? To me - it’s the collision of genre. The intersection of sensibilities. With that said - I present to you an ALTERNATIVE song, if I’ve ever heard one.

First, meet Toxic by Britney Spears. A staple of early 2000s MTV, Toxic is the longest lasting single off Britney’s 2003 In The Zone album.

Second, meet Bodies by Drowning Pool. Really the most important thing about this one is it was the official theme song of Summer Slam 2000.

A part, they are two rather run of the mill pieces of music. Together, they are delicious. Enjoy.
