Jeopardy! has been part of my family's nightly routine for as long as I can remember. It's something I've passed on to my son: even though he's too young to understand what's going on, he still gets excited about "Jeppy". Very cute. So we made it a point to watch the entire Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions over the last two weeks. Alex Trebek's battle with pancreatic cancer made the tournament emotional for many reasons, including this viral moment:

Sniffle. The ToC two-day finals featured this past year's nearly unstoppable champion, James Holzhauer, and the woman who stopped him: Emma Boettcher. There was also a lovely high school physics teacher named Francois. It was good trivia television. I'll let other news outlets spoil the outcome, but if you would like to relive the tournament, it's online for a limited time.

AND if you just can't get enough Jeopardy!, we just got word that its three biggest champions will battle for a cool $1 million in a multi-night special next year. Holzhauer, Ken Jennings and Brad Rutter won more than $10 million between them, and they'll all return for "Jeopardy! The Greatest of All Time" in January. Here's the freshly released info.
