Tito's Vodka Is For Drinking, Not Making Hand Sanitizer

Hand sanitizer is getting increasingly hard to find. While we've been told that washing our hands and NOT touching our faces are the top ways to avoid the coronavirus, there are still times when it's easier to grab some Purell and go. Since it's flying off the shelves, some industrious people are making their own...  but there's one brand working overtime to tell you not to.

See, you can make your own hand sanitizer using vodka: it needs to contain at least 60% alcohol to be effective. Turns out that Tito's Vodka only contains 40% alcohol, so it doesn't make effective hand sanitizer. And that has led to a lot of social posts that look like this:
