MONDAY: Stroke 9 "Little Black Backpack": Liz from Queens requested this late 90s track: coincidentally, the night before, I had told my husband the story about how I met Stroke 9 at my college station and they worked a quote from the movie Deliverance into some audio they recorded for us. Coincidence??? ...probably.

TUESDAY: PJ Harvey "Down by the Water": Tuesday was a dark and dreary day, and the gritty mid-90s vibes from Polly Jean Harvey MBE felt just right.

WEDNESDAY: Mazzy Star "Fade Into You": Sadly, the news broke this week that David Roback, co-founder of Mazzy Star, passed away from cancer at the age of 61. The ethereal dreamy sound of songs like "Fade Into You" impacted so many artists to this day.

THURSDAY: Beastie Boys "Body Movin'": Adam Yauch: another artist gone too soon. Sometimes you just want to hear a Beasties song you don't hear all the time. So we played one. LEMME GET SOME ACTION FROM THE BACK SECTION.

FRIDAY: Stereo MCs "Connected": Our Friday jam comes courtesy of Bill from North Brunswick: so dancey! Fun fact: this song appeared on the soundtrack to the 1995 movie Hackers, one of Angelina Jolie's first film roles!
