If you have trouble falling asleep too, odds are you've tried a lot of techniques to help. I remember a nurse practicioner saying years ago to do something soothing at night that would tell your brain it's time to slow down, like reading or journaling. I've also tried this yoga-inspired breathing technique with some success. (It also works if you need to destress on overcrowded subway trains.)

So here's another technique, uncovered by a British men's lifestyle magazine, that claims to help you fall asleep in two minutes. It involves consciously relaxing parts of your body from your face down to your feet. Then you visual a calming environment - someplace where you feel peaceful. This primes your body for sleep - and apparently has a 96% percent success rate if you make it part of your routine.

Every body and mind are different, so don't get discouraged if it doesn't work right away. But I hope it does!
