We're a month away from the Broadway premiere of Jagged Little Pill, a musical adaptation of Alanis Morissette's iconic 1995 album. I still remember watching the video for "You Oughta Know" for the first time and seeing this powerful blur of a woman in the desert, turning her pain into art. Pretty sure I went and bought the album immediately: it was just what my angsty alt-loving teen self needed. And from the looks of this video, the musical is going to be an emotional ride too.

Now Alanis is celebrating the launch of the musical with an intimate acoustic performance - for one night only - at the legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem. She's doing the whole album!! We can only hope she'll share some stories too. The Apollo only holds about 1500 people, so this is gonna be a really special and cozy show. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10am: here's the link to keep in your open tabs until then. You can also sign up for the pre-sale: Alanis herself can help you out with that.
