Was the only time Gerard's grandma ever saw them play.

I, like you probably, saw a lot of unbelievable shows at Maxwell's in Hoboken over the years, but dammit, missed this one.  Sixteen years ago, My Chemical Romance opened up for Jersey pop-punkers The Lawn Darts, three weeks after releasing I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love.  You can see they were already too big for that small stage, delivering a passionate, intense thirty minutes.

Sadly, but fortunately, it was the only time Gerard's grandma ever saw them perform.  She later became the inspiration behind "Helena (Goodbye & Goodnight.)"  Touching moment now, when you see Gerard shout her and his whole family out from the stage during the show. “And the first song on our new record- like- my mom is here, my grandma’s here my uncle is here…”

The guy who posted the vid to YouTube says that "this is the show Gerard tells us about in The Black Parade is Dead!"

Here's the setlist:

Honey, This Mirror Isn’t Big Enough For the Two of Us

Headfirst For Halos

Our Lady of Sorrows

This Is the Best Day Ever

Skylines and Turnstiles

Jack the Ripper (Morrissey Cover)

Vampires Will Never Hurt You
