Drive-In Film Festival Coming To LBI In June

Five nights, June 16-20

May 26, 2020

Remind me again why drive-in movie theaters went away, exactly?  What's not to love about sitting in your car, or the bed of a pick up with some lounge chairs and a cooler?  You got your own snacks, there's nobody to passive aggressively shush for talking, no A.D.D stricken man-child kicking your seat....I mean, doesn't that sound like a little slice of heaven?

I'm betting they make a huge comeback here, soon, but until then, we have the return of the Lighthouse International Film Festival in LBI.

“The response has been overwhelming," managing director Christine Rooney tells NJ Advance Media. “It is on fire. This will be a sellout."

They've cut out all the parties surrounding the event for obvious reasons, but the films are a go.

The festival will screen two movies per night for five days across three different venues: Taylor Park at Bay Village in Beach Haven, Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts and Sciences in Long Beach Township and Manahawkin Plaza in Manahawkin.
