Ladies and gentlemen, it is officially Pearl Jam season. Wrapping a 7-year new album drought, the band has officially announced Gigaton, their first full length since 2013's Lightning Bolt.

Speaking on the band's drawn-out recording process for the new record, guitarist Mike McCready shares, "Making this record was a long journey.  It was emotionally dark and confusing at times, but also an exciting and experimental road map to musical redemption."  Speaking of Darkness, the body of work comes covered by a photo enititled “Ice Waterall”, which reveal's Norway’s Nordaustlandet ice cap off streaming massive amounts of meltwater. Subtle.

In tandem with the news comes word of a limited US arena tour, which comes as an intimate surprise for fans of the legendary grunge group following a recent trend of select yearly touring in major market MLB ballparks around the country.  With U.S. stops including dates in Los Angeles, Oakland, San Diego and Arizona, stops east of the Mississippi (should you be looking to make a road trip out of it) boast Baltimore, Nashville, and of course, New York City, with a major play at MSG penciled in for March 30th.

Tickets for the shows go on sale here, this Friday, but lucky for you, we've snagged a batch of tix to win before you can buy on this week's Thursday Ticket Takeover, with a chance to win your way into the band's MSG show every hour 7a-7p.

As if that's not enough PJ news, RADIO.COM (of which your beloved ALT 92.3 is a part) present the World Premiere of a brand new track, which you can hear for the first time tonight (Jan 22) at Midnight, this means 11:59pm on Jan 21 for those of you that struggle with the dateline.
