The surviving members of The Beastie Boys have been hard at work on a long gestating memoir that is finally set to see release later this month on October 30th.  By all accounts its gonna be awesome because, well, The Beastie Boys were awesome and it's probably gonna be loaded with unseen photos, untold stories, etc.  One of those has made it's way onto the internet via a new article in Vulture.  More or less it's the story of the band's signing to Capitol Records and how the label wanted them to start a fake beef with MC Hammer to help sell copies of 100% absolute classic, 'Paul's Boutique'.  I'd post it here but apparenlty that's against company policy so I'm just gonna link you away from our website because somehow that makes more sense. Enjoy !
