So, if you need to drive around NYC Saturday mornings, make alternate plans for the first three Saturdays of August, or leave yourself extra time and stock-up on tums because traffic is about to be chaotic. Oh and FYI if you take buses, they will be re-routed, parking will be restricted, and traffic to and from the Brooklyn Bridge will be diverted.

On the other hand, if you are looking for something to do and are up for a 7-mile stroll thru NYC streets with tons of activities and without having to worry about them crazy yellow cars.  August 3, 7, & 17th are gonna be awesome!

The route goes from Foley Square in lower Manhattan up to Fifth Avenue and 72nd Street, with different rest stops along the way as well as all sorts of outdoorsy activities. (Alas, there won’t be any dumpster pools this year.) But there will be plenty of others including a 165-foot zip line, wheelchair basketball exhibitions, a dog park, fitness classes, bicycle programming with helmet fittings and free repairs, and more.

On August 3rd, there will also be an attempt to break the world record for most people doing a handstand at once. If you want in on that, register here.
