Following a comeback in 2017 at Riot Fest, pop-punk/emo rockers Jawbreaker (Blake Schwarzenbach, Adam Pfahler, and Chris Bauermeister) are returning again for a short run of dates in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York City.
Originally from New York City then moving to Los Angeles and San Francisco, the band was mainly active from ’86 to ’96 and is widely considered one of the most influential groups formed in the 1990s emo movement — alongside Seattle’s Sunny Day Real Estate and countless others.
In 2017 a documentary about the band was released called Don’t Break Down: A Film About Jawbreaker and the boys got back together for what was planned to be a one-off show at Chicago’s Riot Fest but ended up doing a few more shows before and after.
Tickets for their latest dates quickly sold out, about three minutes into the sale here in NYC and the West Coast followed suit.
Resale tickets are now available for a considerable amount more, but for superfans that shouldn’t be a problem. All links for tickets can be found on the band’s Facebook post below.
